Tradition oblige, on se fait une petite rétrospective des albums marquants de cette année passée. On va la faire light, pas que l’exercice soit barbant mais finalement c’est plus devenu une habitude qu’autre chose. L’intéressant, c’est que cette année, on va être deux, ça va être drole de voir si on retrouve les mêmes choix!

Faudra qd mm m’expliquer Nuts comment Crocodiles peut figurer en #2 de ton top concert alors que nous étions unanimes à la sortie pour dire que c’était qd même pas terrible terrible, et largement en dessous du disque, ma foi assez rafraichissant… !
Bon sinon mon Top 20 musique:
Les trois premières places sont facilement interchangeables. Quite surprising to find Panda Bear’s Person Pitch in your Best Albums for 2009 since it was released in 2007 ; )
No Merriweather … in my Top 20 because I was fairly disappointed with it, I guess that Animal Collective did better with Strawberry Jam and this album is just some sort of extension, which insists on their « pop structures ». And that doesn’t really give me thrills you know. « Brother Sports » and « My Girls » (check out Taken by Trees cover of this song on the beautiful LP Eden) still are enjoyable, but that ain’t enough.
The same with Fever Ray… I must confess that I really enjoy The Knife’s album, but on this particular project I was unable to stand her voice for the whole album. And I didn’t enjoy the songs that much… So the only thing I like on Fever Ray’s album is the artwork which reminds me of Charles Burns.

oh @ person pitch. damn you are right. I discovered it 2009 and for me it just suited so much into 2009 that for me it had to be 2009 (2009 was just « my AC year »)… hehe oops. well.
well I agree for strawberry jam. truly amazing record. I know this all a thing of taste but its hard for me not to see everyone is thrilled by « in the flowers » of merriweather post pavillion. electricity from head to toe, everytime again ;-)
